Bio Brief
Provided for Olivia for an interview with AF-ROTC on/about October 29, 2023.
Short summary:
- I retired after 30 years in the US Air Force, as a physician, flight surgeon, hospital commander, and surgeon general of the Air Intelligence Agency for the Air Force.
- Full US Air Force scholarship to medical school, University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
- Training:
- pediatrician; and
- flight surgeon.
- Spent most of my career overseas in Germany, England, and Turkey. Also time in Spain, Iraq, Japan, Africa.
- As a senior flight surgeon assigned to fighter squadrons in Europe and Turkey.
- Second half of career as commander of a clinic and two hospitals, including the biggest US military hospital in Turkey and the biggest fighter base hospital in the United States, Langley AFB, Virginia.
- On faculty at Air War College for one year, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama.
- Retired after seven years as the surgeon general / colonel at Air Intelligence Agency, San Antonio, TX.
Bottom line:
- Retired as a colonel, 30 years in the Air Force, as a physician and hospital commander.
- Air Force Scholarship, medical school, University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
